seasons change and progress remains on ogden avenue
|
Falls in full swing, but the change in season has not slowed down the continued progress of the Ogden Avenue Improvements Project!
Over the last two weeks, the contractor installed new cooper water services at nine businesses throughout the project area. Recently, the contractor also placed almost 700 cubic yards of concrete patch between East and Lombard avenues. That would fill over 6 swimming pools! Next week, the contractor will shift their focus to the westbound lanes of Ogden Avenue beginning water main installation at Lombard Avenue and working towards Harlem Avenue. As a reminder, any planned impacts to water services at private properties will be communicated in advance of any planned construction activities. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we transform Ogden Avenue! |
Spooky sewers no more! Project hits one-third completion
|
As the autumn leaves fall, progress along Ogden Avenue is anything but slowing down! The project is right on track and has officially reached 33% completion.
Over the last two weeks, crews have successfully completed all required eastbound water main connections within the project limits. All 21 connections to the existing water main at side streets from Harlem to Lombard avenues are now finished - totaling over 7,500 feet of pipe! That's longer 1,000 towering skeletons laid head to toe! All concrete work between East and Lombard avenues are wrapping up and will be completed by the end of next week. Looking ahead to early November, the contractor will begin preparing for the west bound water main installation. Any changes in traffic will be communicated in advance. As a reminder, any planned impacts to water services at private properties will be communicated in advance of any planned construction activities. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we transform Ogden Avenue! |
