Over the past two weeks, the contractor completed water main installation activities at Oak Park Avenue, along with a major reconnection to the existing system.
The City is pleased to report that all mainline sections of new ductile water main are nearly finished. It is anticipated that the contractor will complete the final westbound section by Monday, June 8. This amounts to a total of approximately 15,500 feet (nearly 3 miles!) of water main upgrades installed as part of the project. These efforts are transforming the quality of Berwyn's infrastructure for residents and business owners alike, providing a sustainable and long-lasting foundation for the City's future. There is no better way to celebrate the anniversary of the historic Ogden Avenue than with these critical improvements.
