PAVING PROGRESS BRINGS OGDEN AVENUE CLOSER TO THE FINISH!
The Ogden Avenue Improvements Project continues as crews complete major paving activities and shift their focus toward restoration throughout the corridor!
In just one day, crews placed approximately 1,700 tons of new asphalt along Ogden Avenue, which is equivalent to the weight of more than 340 elephants! This strong new roadway is being built for a long-lasting future.
Crews also paved driveway replacement locations on both sides of Ogden Avenue and completed remaining mainline surface work at the Maple, Kenilworth, Oak Park, Wesley and Harvey avenue crossings. With this paving work complete, crews have begun turning their attention to parkway restoration along eastbound Ogden Avenue.
The project is now approximately 90% complete, marking another major milestone as Ogden Avenue moves closer to the finish line! Celebrate with us at the Berwyn Route 66 Car Show on Saturday, August 29.
